Rogamar by Césaria Évora to be released next Tuesday, March 7.

Cape Verde's own 'barefoot diva' returns!

Césaria Évora — the rightful queen of the Morna style — is set to return next week with an album of new material. Rogamar is Évora's first studio album since 2003's Grammy-award winning Voz d'Amor — the space in between was ingeniously filled by 2004's masterful remix collection, Club Sodade. Rogamar is produced by pianist (and longtime stage associate) Fernando Andrade. Also announced are Évora's plans to tour North America later this month. [Tour dates are available here]
