Ingrown hair
, grown hair is a condition where the hair curls back or grows sideways into the skin. It may or may not be accompanied by an infection of the hair follicle (folliculitis) or "razor bumps" (pseudofolliculitis barbae), which vary in size. While ingrown hair most commonly appears in areas where the skin is shaved (beard, legs, pubic region), it can appear anywhere. Anything which causes the hair to be broken off short with a sharp tip can cause ingrown hair. Shaving is the leading cause, followed by tight clothing. The embedded hair causes a localized inflammation (sometimes painful) response in the skin with prostanoid involvement. Sometimes ingrown hair occurs naturally without shaving, as too much dead skin or blocked pores can make hair grow sideways. Symptoms include rash, itching skin, hair which remains in spite of shaving, and infection and pus collecting under skin. For the longest of time, I been wanting to blog about it but I held back several times but tonight I feel that I am finally ready to talk and confront it.... I had a group of wonderful friends whom I shared my ups and downs, whom tolerated me, laughed with and at me but because of some commitments, I cut back some time with them but I had tried my best to make it up to them, rushing to and fro, taking cab etc , sacrificing my time, rest and my other frens etc but alas , I saw them going out with me and with a cruel twist of fate, in the same theater watching the same movie. I was really crushed and disappointed but what else can I do, I did not want to confront them and I ended up hiding in the toilet till the show opening time. I knew they saw me when I went in to the theater but I pretended to look away. Anyway, in short, they have ceased to ask me out ever since tat day, making no apologies or rectification. They even want to send me my bday gift instead of asking me out.... (more)
